Recap of our visit with Jason's Brother and Sister in Law….. in October 2013. Can you tell I'm a little behind with blogging??? LoL. Yeah…….
Let's just say I've had a lot going on….
But I figure it is better to try to do some catching up sooner rather than later. However, I also feel like a picture truly is worth a thousand words. Accordingly, This blog will predominantly contain pictures with captions as appropriate :)

We went to see Rocky and Joni exactly two years prior when they were in Ohio for Med School, so it was fun to have an excuse to see them again AND a different location of the United States. This time we got to experience the "South," exploring Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Alabama as well as The Emerald coast of Florida. Above is the view from the "Vulcan" Outlook at Downtown Birmingham, Alabama.
THE Vulcan
But we couldn't just do activities that were only interesting to the adults…. had to do some that were fun for the kids…. as well as the adults. Perfect Combination.
AirWalk (trampoline gym) made the cut…. But Part of me thinks this was still more for us than the kiddos. Haha.
Unfortunately, A lot of the pictures are blurry as it was low lightning, and they were action shots. Doh!
Me--coming out of a round-off back tuck. I was feeling pretty good about myself that I was still able to tumble, where it has been so long…. but my body took it like a champ! We'll see how it feels a few more years from now ;).
Rocky
Jason--First half of the inversion
And the second half. I will admit… he didn't quite have the same form as myself… nor Rocky… though he always managed to make it around. Nonetheless, I was grateful for a foam-pit landing. LoL
Joanford and James…. Photo bomb by Logan
The tease. These little balls (and punching bags) were hung up all over so you had to jump and try to get them. Basically EVERY TIME, they were just BARELY out of my reach. It was so frustrating. I blamed it on the fact that Jason and Rocky not only have height advantage, but definite arm length advantage. It was so frustrating that I did it over, and over, and over, and OVER, until I FINALLY got it. Slapping that "dangling carrot" felt like such a victory.
ROLL TIDE!!! Can't go to the South in the Fall and not go to a Football game!
We also made a road trip to the Emerald Coast of Florida. Oh. Man. The beaches were AMAZING!!!!! It was seriously like walking on flour…. and then having the water be warm and not too salty (it was VERY salty in Costa Rica) was Amazing.
Jason pulling the Wagon of Goods from the Hotel. We stayed in the hotel on the left with a window facing the beach…. We slept like babies all night with our window open listening to the waves. It was heaven.
Logan thinking he is hilarious, and LOVING that he is playing a game with an unsuspecting Uncle Jason.
This picture about sums up how James felt about the ocean water.
While Logan on the other hand was always running for the water and trying to face plant in it. Haha.
James MUCH preferred the Swimming Pool.
Making Sand Castles
We realized that Sand Castles with such soft sand (even with adding of water), was MUCH harder than it looked….
So we got bored and moved on to something more exciting. Burying "Daddy."
James contribution…. right in the face.
And burying involved into making him a MerMan
Rocky meticulously drawing his own scales to make it appear more realistic.
Some crazy bird lady….. ;)
Blue Steel…. As a MerMan…. Appropriate.
Father-Son Time.
Jason-Dana time.
It was a SUPER Fun trip overall….. even with the screaming children in Hobby Lobby as we desperately scrambled to put together an ornament to commemorate the trip… but just another "memory" to look back on and laugh about, I suppose :)
Thanks for Having us Rocky and Joni!!! Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon!
Looks like you had a great trip! Thank you for including Ttown. Let us know if you come back!
