When You are Looking for a Little Adventure....

Jason and I realized we are OH so guilty of going to the same restaurants over-and over-and over again. The one thing EVERYONE seems to say about Phoenix that we asked before moving here, is that there are some really great places to eat. Accordingly, we have decided we are going to try a different restaurant every weekend. Seems like quite a feat, right?  Not when you have the handy-dandy, FREE, Urban Spoon Application on your phone.
This is what the application looks like when you have it open. First column is the part of town in which the place is located, Second column is the style of food, and third column is the price range. If you want to specify one of those areas, you just scroll to it and push the "lock" button underneath.

Last night we were feeling kind of bored.  We wanted to go somewhere new, but didn't want to spend much money, so we specified the one "$" sign (most entrees under 12) and shook away.  Look at the Treasure we found in downtown Phoenix.... Who would have thought? :)
Yes. That's Right. LoLo's Chicken and Waffles.  I was a little nervous at first, but I have decided to take advantage of the downtown experience and try lots of new things. Pretty sure we were the only Caucasian's in the restaurant though!  Below is a picture of the lovely meal with enough food to feed Jason and I for only $13.

This was one of their special platters.... Waffles, Fried Chicken, Eggs w/ cheese, Cornbread, and Grits.  Honest to goodness, all of those items came in one combo. Notice the lovely Kerr jars, which served as cups. We wanted to complete the meal and the experience with a slice of Red Velvet Cake... but unfortunately we were already full.... not to mention the meal already carried a "high calorie punch"** as it was. Though the waffles and syrup were SPECTACULAR, we are already contemplating signing up and beginning training for another half marathon in order to repent for partaking in this meal. lol.

Seriously though...... Looking for adventure?  2 words.... Urban Spoon..... it's the Jam!
