New Hobby

For those of you who don't know, I have taken up sewing as a new hobby :). There was a groupon a while ago for a beginning sewing class series through The Sewing Parlour. It is this cute little boutique-style shop where a maximum of 5 people in each session take sewing classes. This was perfect for me, because I got all the one-on-one attention I needed... not to mention my teacher was a riot. I loved my "Beginning Sewing" series so much, that I then took a "knits" class, and "skirts and more" class. I am sad I am leaving the state before having a chance to take more classes (like "lingerie," "little black dress," "curtain making," etc.) I guess I will just have to wing in from here on out! It has been SUCH a fun hobby, and given me something to do in the evenings, due to the fact Jason and I have been living in different states. However, that is all changing effective immediately! Here is a picture of Jason and I... reunited for the BIG MOVE.... and I'm sporting a matching skirt and headband I made :). I've decided skirts are going to be my "go to" this summer in AZ. They are stylish, comfy, and a little breezy... just the way I like it!
