Costa Rica 2013

Our Costa Rica Trip was absolutely amazing. It was so much fun spending time with the family and strengthening relationships. We went on several great adventures like white water rafting, waterfall repelling, horseback riding in the rain forest, great chefs, and playing card games almost every night. Here are a few great pictures to highlight the trip.
The Group's safe arrival to Costa Rica
Me trying to swim in a re-circulating wave.

Mom and Dad's boat braving the rapids

This is our boat. It was extra "exciting" because it was much smaller (just had 4 of us and the guide).  The river guides called the other boats "cruise ships" and ours the "Lamborghini." The rapids were only class 3's, but because our boat we took on a lot of water making them very fun without the imminent danger experienced when navigating larger rapids. It was so fun.

The 3rd boat. I love this picture because Joey is yelling a marine "Hoorah!" and Tracie looks like she is crying in the front! lol.

Myself and three of my beautiful sisters. Love them sooooo much and it was so good to spend time with them!

Dinner at a Restaurant Called "El Avion".... literally built inside and around an old airplane. Kinda cool.
The View from the House
The monkeys that came to the patio every morning.
A sloth asleep in a tree.
This sign made us laugh out loud.... Slow for : children, dogs, sloths, and monkeys. haha
Frisbee on the beach
Nightly card games.
Daily monsoon rainstorms.  They usually came in the evening but the last day we were there it was the afternoon.... the afternoon we had waited until to do our souvenir shopping. Whoops. Accordingly we braved the storm.
Hanging out in the swimming pool.
Monster spider in El Parque Nacional.

The Newly Weds.
Tracie was jealous of their cute picture, so I volunteered to stand in for her picture. haha.

Relaxing on the couch, looking out and enjoying the view.

Casa Tolteca. B-E-A-UTIFUL

Francini and Cornelious... AMAZING cooks!
Getting ready to leave on our Canyoning Tour (waterfall repelling, ziplining, monkey drop, Free Fall, Suspension bridge, etc...)

More of the house

Hike through the park.... and the view at the top was totally worth it.

Horseback riding excursion through the rainforest

Pictures don't do this waterfall justice.  It was over 100 meters tall. Breathtaking.
However the hike there was very slippery... a little treacherous, but totally worth it. Afterwards we went back to a smaller safer waterfall a little bit lower for swimming. It was beautiful as well.
And of course, it wouldn't be a ride through the "rain forest" without a large rain storm.... so .... the ride back required the wearing of ponchos by our group, but it was still a lot of fun.

Costa Rica was beautiful, Amazing, and SO MUCH FUN!  More info to come later.
