Labor Day Weekend

Now that September is almost over, I figure I may as well post more about Labor Day Weekend.  This was the weekend we picked up Leidy and headed to San Diego.  I planned to do it the day after I made the last post, but it is crazy how MUCH time she has taken of my free time.  Accordingly, I am posting now, and maybe if I'm lucky I will make another post shortly to catch up on more recent events. lol.
Nervous to spend this much cash on a puppy that I can't return if I don't like it. lol.
Collin and Kelsi along for moral support.
Quickly forgot my fears.
Instantly in love.
She looks so tiny, especially when in her playpen! She spent a few hours in this each day when we went on bike rides or to the beach, as we were unable to bring her with us....
(See the sign in the bottom left region of the picture?)
....and she didn't have all of her immunizations complete. We figured it would be good practice for when we got back home and she was left alone (with the exception of "boyfriend"---her stuffed friend) while we were at work.
We went on two different bike rides, both over 30 miles and they felt SOOOOOO good.  Nice work outs with some good hills, and awesome ocean breeze. After rides, it was nice to go relax at the beach.
"Kelsin" hunting for crabs
Collin showing off his new seaweed sash. I've heard they are the new trend.
Showing off my biking tan lines.  Gross.
Better luck next time honey.

Check out the newly weds..... or at least we like to think of ourselves that way ;)

Collin and Kelsi doing a stone throwing competition.
Nice form Kelsi!
As for Collin..... maybe Kelsi could give you a few pointers..... :)
This is what happened when we told Collin from the sand it was time to leave..... obviously he wasn't too excited about that idea.

Jason teaching Leidy to drive.....
See this sluggish look?  We later discovered this was her way of saying, "Mom, I need to go potty."  Right after we snapped this picture, she pottied.  As you can guess, from that height... it didn't end pretty.
Leidy is too tiny to see over the edge, so she is a smart puppy. She climbs into the inside pockets so she can stand up on her back paws with her front paws over the edge.  So adorable. Already wishing we were back in California again and could go to the beach.
