Drove through 4 states within 36 hours--- One all-nighter (with the help of a Rockstar)---1600 miles in total--- And two weddings. My younger sister got married in St. George on Friday, and Jason's younger sister got married on Saturday in San Diego..... needless to say, it was a weekend to remember.
We Left Thursday at 11pm when Jason got home from Class (one of the joys of evening MBA and working full time). I had taken a two hour power nap from 8-10pm... threw in a rock-star and I was golden. I was going to take the "first shift" driving, but since I don't drink caffeine often.... the "first shift" turned into an all-nighter.... driving from 11pm-7am... then once I arrived in St. George I had to start getting ready for the wedding, not sleeping until the the next night. Never done that before, and hope to not do it again..... I'm not as young as I used to be.... and this reality hits home harder and harder each time with adventures like this.
We were exhausted, but made it through the weekend!!! I got some great shots of my beautiful sister and her hubby, we even managed to wind up in the family pictures which we weren't even there for (Thanks to Amanda's talented photographer and photoshop) AND.... we were able to go on an INCREDIBLE 35 mile bike ride up the coast. Oh how I would love to live there..... for now we just have to make a resolution to visit more regularly :)

Here are a couple of pictures I took of Jaimee and Joey.
Notice her marine boots? Tee-hee-hee.
Aren't they beautiful? They look like Angels! ..... I'm sad I didn't get a picture on my camera of the other good looking couple who also got married (David and Amanda) so I could have added them to my blog too!!! I thought about stealing some from their Facebook, but decided that would be kind of weird. lol. I do have a picture of the gift I spent HOURS making for them..... of course it broke when I went to place it into the frame. Talk about heart wrenching. It would have been the perfect gift..... but I had to figure out something else at the last minute. So sad. Maybe in a few months I will have the motivation to try to make it again, despite the bad luck I've acquired from cracking the last one. Seriously though.... after hours of work to hear that "crack" literally made my heart sink. Oh well.
However, here is the picture mentioned above (that we weren't even present for, but photoshopped in)
Not bad, hey? Pretty dang good, actually!!! The only way I personally can tell a difference (because lighting looks perfect) is because our eyes are open, and the others who were actually present for pictures are more squinted.... so because of that Jason and I look a tad bit out of place.... but the casual observer would probably never notice :)
