Arlington Cemetery (Ohio/D.C. Excursion: Blog #7)

Especially with Veteran's Day Approaching, I feel it is appropriate to commemorate the soldiers who have given their lives for us as well as those who continue to serve us.

This is one very small view and glimpse into the cemetery.... the number of headstones is emotionally overwhelming.  They go as far as the eye can see and beyond.

Smiling because even though Arlington can be a somber place, it is because of these individuals we are able to celebrate the freedoms we so often take for granted. Here is a special shout out to my sister Jaimee, who sacrifices her own freedoms and luxuries to defend ours and the governing principles upon which our country was founded. I am SO proud of her. I LOVE YOU JAIMEE!!!! THANK YOU!!!
